Apple Introduces New iMacs at WWDC 2017

6/6/17

On Monday at WWDC 2017, Apple announced a long-awaited update to their line of iMacs. The newest iMacs will get a bump in specs and upgradeability, as well as an addition to the produce line.

Apple announced that their new iMacs will have the improved Kaby Lake processors from Intel, faster and higher capacity SSDs, new Radeon Pro 555 and 560 graphics cards, as well as a bump to 32 and 64GB of RAM.

Along with these iterative improvements, Apple announced the new iMac Pro - their most powerful all-in-one desktop ever. The iMac Pro will ship with an 8 core Xeon processor (upgradeable to 10 or 18 core). Turbo Boost technology can increase speeds to 4.5GHz with a cache of up to 42MB. The iMac Pro can also be had with up to a 4TB SSD, as well as four Thunderbolt 3 ports.

These impressive specs can understandably have you feeling like your current machine is a little underpowered. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait for the new models to come out to upgrade. Call us today to find out how we can get your machine running like new - or better!
